Michigan Bamboo
Company is proud to offer high quality mail order plants. Our Bamboo
plants are acclimated to harsh winters and propagated in zones 5
and 6. The plants are potted for at least a year and are full of
rhizomes. Since are plants are container grown they will have many
new shoots the first spring, larger than the existing canes, unlike
field divisions offered by other nurseries.
We have only a simple check out on our website. If you are ordering multiple varieties, feel free to call and place your order.

Fargesia nitida 'Juizhaigou' (Red
Fountain Bamboo) An exciting new introduction from the Sichuan Province of China. ‘Juizhaigou’ (Pronounced Joe's–I–Go) has delicate leaves and pea-green canes that turn to deep burgundy within the second year. Eventually the canes fade to yellow. For best cane color plant in a bright location, but not in full sun. F. nitida needs no containment to prevent its spread. Hardy to -20°  FARGESIA

The rich yellow canes are the reverse of Yellow Groove Bamboo and have a bright green groove. Young new culms can turn shades of burgundy red when exposed to sun. Excellent for containers, or use as a screen or specimen planting. The most colorful large bamboo that we grow.
